An incision is made either around the nipple or in a t-shape. Breast tissue is lifted and reshaped. The nipple is repositioned and, if required, the aureola reduced. Any excess skin is removed and newly contoured and lifted breasts held in place as tightened skin is sutured.
Recovery from breast lift surgery will vary from person to person. Generally, you can expect to take around two weeks off work, longer if your job is physically demanding. Six weeks should see you pursuing normal activities.
